DCPs

This year we had a number of DCP creation requests, and though it's a small part of the overall scope of our services, it's a great way to help promote short films and feature films by getting them to theatres around the globe.

Flagfall is a horror / thriller short film about a troubled cabbie haunted by voices and visions, fearing something terrible happened in his taxi.

The film was directed by Joe Lonie and produced by Caravan Carpark Films.

Motuhaketanga is a two-part documentary that delves into the transformative journeys of three wāhine Māori as they prepare to leave prison and begin the raw process of rebuilding their lives, their identities, and their futures. The series was produced by Black Iris.

The hardworking Aotearoa Music Awards  postproduction team has left the building!

It's always a pleasure to host them at the Sugarworks, and this year's 60th birthday made it even more special.

The Vic - A Love Story

A couple of weeks ago, saw the launch of "The Vic: A Love Story."- A short film that charts the fascinating history of the Victoria Theatre in Devonport, Auckland.

As the oldest purpose-built cinema in the Southern Hemisphere the Vic has a great story to tell.

From its beginnings in 1912 when it was a ‘picture palace’ showing silent films, to the advent of the ‘talkie’ movies and then the digital age, the Vic encompasses the history of cinema in New Zealand cinema.

The Sugarworks Post is proud to have played a part in getting this story to the big screen.
